I don't know if anyone here is a Star Trek fan, but this is the most updated version of the movie/show.
I've never seen the original Star Trek series and from what I've heard from the stars, you don't need to have seen any of the original series to see this movie.
And I'm totally seeing it for shallow reasons because I have a crush on Chris Pine and I love Zach Quinto cuz he's on Heroes.

Not a fan either, sci-fi never interested me. But yah shallow reasons here too, Zach to be specific, the man is working that ridiculous hairstyle or what :surrender: And ohhh Eric Bana, who's so pretty :wub: Love Zoe as well. So basically watching cuz it has a good cast and just hoping that it doesn't the confuzzle me. I wikied it but the plot didn't intrigue me at all :lookaround:

i watched a little bit of the series because i love science but
mostly because they had the creepiest looking alien/people
aboard the spaceship.
but yeah, i'm really excited for this movie. i love how
chris pine is in this adaptation.

The movie was really good. I was afraid I wasn't gonna get it but I did. Plus my bro, who's a huge Trekie, explained stuff in connection to the Star Trek series. Not necessary though cause it was easy to understand.

I went to see the movie with my family and there's this one scene with John Cho in it and something's happening to him (I won't give it away since you haven't seen it yet) and in the middle of the scene my sister yells out "Harold!" and there's a guy sitting in front of us and he turns around to her and says "His name is Sulu!" and my sister stares back and goes "Well, I hope Harold is okay!" The guy just turns around and ignores her! Haha soooooo funny!

Yeah that's the good thing about the movie, you don't really need to know anything about Star Trek to see it!
Btw, I hear they have already started working on writing the sequel!

yeah, i don't know if it's a rumor or the truth but i hope it's the truth!
