This year is a little bit more than half-way done and almost done.

And I was just thinking about the awards (not that I care for them) As to who would win Best Actor/Actress.

I dont think there is any "tough" competition for the titles. So far Shahid seems like the obvious winner for Best Actor for Kaminey.............and Best Actress...... I dont think anybody "SO FAR" has done anything great! And nothing in the future looks too promising either.

Well this hasn't been the year for great movies so far. So umm judging from the movies we got so far: Shahid for Kaminey and Pri Cho for Kaminey. It might change by the end of the year when we get more movies. This is only for movies we've seen SO FAR.....

Agree with what everyone's saying. :) The remaining interesting movies are WYR, Kurbaan and 3 Idiots. Pri might win for WYR. I don't think anything else will be strong enough competition at least in these two categories. ^_^ (silent excited scream)

I think Best Actress should go to someone who has the film revolve around her. From the sounds of it, it looks like she doesnt even have a big role.

Shouldn't she get supporting actress? Just like Rani did for Yuva or something like that.

I dunno it sounds like Kaminey has Shahid leading and everyone else is a supporting character.

Not really!! I actually thou thr was not a supporting cast at all..they all were brillllliant...n everyone had an important role..

If not for Kaminey than for WYR or PI!! :P

I want PC to win the BA[critics] award for Kaminey, and win BA for WYR. :D [A Rani win is what I have always wanted for her! :P ]

PC was lauded by EVERY critic for her performance, so she definitely has a chance. I am biased, so of course I will say that I want her to win hehe.
Bias or no bias, she deserves it. Even people who aren't even fans of her appreciated her in the film. :)

She also has a chance for WYR. I just read a tweet from someone who watched the film the other day, and he said PC was 'brilliant' in the film. :)

Well I havent seen Jodha-Akbar yet so I cannot comment on how Ash acted there. My opinion had nothing to do with Ash.

I was just saying that BASED on watching Fashion, I feel Priyanka didn't deserve the award. As she overacted a lot and didn't really do anything great. I feel the Same way about Kareena in Jab We Met.

Fashion and Jab We Met are both WAYY Overrated! In terms of the Best Actress

I actually wanted Kajol to win. I thought she was brillant in U Me Aur Hum!


And in 2008........It should have been Ash for Guru or Vidya for Bhool Bhulaiya.


In fact the last deserving winner is Rani in 2006 for Black.

By the way, I was just kidding about my previous comment, hence the " :tongue: ". ;)

Well, that is your opinion. There are polls, by the PEOPLE[not jury members or anyone affiliated with the industry] who selected PC as the BA for Fashion. That speaks volume to me. :)
However, the awards season is over. There is no point in discussing this. Back to the BA for 2009 discussion! :)
